Dr Fahad

With an extensive background spanning 10+ years in clinical research, medicine and machine learning, and biomarker development, I founded a clinical academic group; the Clinicaro Machine Learning group (previously known as FLAIM-MLG). I am tasked with the development of clinical machine learning algorithms “biomarkers” that can predict mortality and other outcomes in clinical settings. As part of Clincaro, we developed new more robust methods of machine learning that predict mortality in the inpatient and intensive-care unit settings, these landmark papers have been published in top-tier journals like The Journal of Trauma and Acute Care Surgery, etc. As part of the translational lab at Yale University School of Medicine, I had worked on the development of biomarkers that will help identify patients who will benefit the most from immunotherapy, over the years we have published several papers on the expression of PD-L1/PD-1 on immune cells (macrophages) and response to treatment. My work in cancer relates to lung, breast, head & neck, skin melanomas, and gastrointestinal tract cancers. The future challenge that I would like to tackle is the development of tech-solution for inpatient services providing valuable clinical information to the clinicians and all associated services on the prognosis of the patients. I also work as a research consultant.
