Saqib Majeed is the managing partner of Lahore-based law firm, Majeed & Partners, Advocates & Counsellors at Law, an exclusive TerraLex member firm in Pakistan. Saqib has more than 18 years of experience in Pakistan’s legal sector. He has advised several Fortune Global 500 companies on their local operations and dealings in Pakistan. He carries out both contentious and non-

Saqib has extensive experience advising clients in intensively regulated industries such as banking, finance, insurance, telecommunications, oil and gas, power (including renewables), and life sciences on all areas of applicable regulatory laws. Saqib is intimately familiar with the emerging business and technology trends and the evolving legal and regulatory landscape in Pakistan. He assists clients in ensuring compliance with applicable regulatory requirements as well as during their interactions with the regulators for creating an enabling regulatory environment for innovative technology-based businesses. He helps clients  understanding and addressing the concerns raised by the regulators.

Saqib also advises clients on a wide range of operational matters governing online B2B and B2C relationships, including the structures of e-commerce platforms, legally binding order processes, legal recognition for transactions carried out in the digital environment, electronic payments, taxation of online transactions, data protection, and e-marketing. Saqib has vast experience in corporate and commercial laws. He has advised many clients on commercial transactions, including acquisitions; joint ventures; business alliances; agency, distribution, and franchise arrangements; restructurings; equity investments and exits; and real
estate transactions.

Saqib is a specialist in laws governing public procurement and government contracts. He regularly advises bidders on legal issues involved in the tendering process. He also represents procuring agencies and bidders during grievance redressal proceedings as well as judicial review
proceedings before the high courts.

Saqib is an experienced litigator who has advised and represented many clients in commercial litigation matters before courts in Pakistan as well as domestic arbitration proceedings. He has appeared before Lahore, Islamabad, Peshawar, and Sindh High Courts. He has also represented clients in arbitration proceedings abroad governed by Pakistani law.
