She have around two decades of investment banking experience with a focus on project finance and debt capital markets. Prior to joining InfraZamin, She served as the Executive Vice President and Head of Investment Banking Group of Bank Alfalah Limited, where She managed a Project Finance and Debt Capital Markets & Syndications portfolio of c.USD 375 Million. During my time at BAFL, the direct income earnings of the bank’s investment banking desk grew more than 110% making the bank one of the significant players in the investment banking industry. She have also worked with investment and corporate banking outfits of UBL, Citibank and HSBC in various capacities. My body of work includes spearheading 2002 IPPs project financing wave, renewable energy, roads and motorway infrastructure, water distribution, PPP collaboration. She was part of the founding team of the developer financing working group formed by the State Bank of Pakistan Governor to support Government of Pakistan’s initiative for low cost housing. She had recently been extensively involved in arranging capital market solutions for blue chip clients looking for alternative sources of funding.
She have recently taken a detour from my predominantly banking career to join InfraZamin as their Chief Investment Officer with an aim to help fill current gaps in the local credit markets to catalyse greater private sector participation in long-term, local currency financing of infrastructure as well as in debt capital markets of Pakistan. InfraZamin Pakistan seeks to ‘crowd in’ private capital in Pakistan to boost much needed cross-sectoral investments. Pakistan, one of the lowest infrastructure spenders among the region, currently spends only 2.1% of its GDP on infrastructure, leading to a widening infrastructure deficit. She hope to make a difference in the development and impact finance space in Pakistan in the coming years.
