Strong background in Digital Transformation, Client Onboarding & LifeCycle Management, Systems design & deployment, Strategy & Planning and exceptional understanding of AML & KYC requirements, Governance & Controls, and Enterprise Risk Management, with proven ability to manage and work with large, cross-functional and multicultural teams in the delivery of multiple concurrent projects.

I am currently working as Chief Technology Officer (CTO) & Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) where I am leading digital transformation program for improving citizens’ experience and satisfaction with government services, driving reforms to deepen financial inclusion through ease of doing business and reduced cost, and building stronger supervision and risk management capabilities through technology enabled solutions.

In my last role with Standard Chartered Bank, I was responsible for management of critical operational and regulatory processes across Africa, Middle East and Pakistan and worked closely with international regulators in strengthening AML & KYC risk management framework. From a digitization and client experience perspective, I was responsible for launching the first Corporate Client Onboarding system in the region, a Shared Utility framework jointly with other peers in South Africa and successfully conducted POC in performing KYC on a Blockchain network in UAE.
